Exhibitions in Virtual Worlds
The Ed Media Center and Cerulean Gallery

This is the Ed Media Center and Cerulean Gallery in 2011.

It was an exhibition space and educational resource center in Second Life. The lower floor was a dedicated gallery space, the upper floor a distance learning classroom space, and a collaborative interactive learning facility.

Throughout the Center were meeting spaces that could be reserved for private or public learning experiences.

We are Jules McWinnie and Junie Mirabella

Both artists and educators, Jules and Junie have been active in digital exhibition since 1997.

As part of the vast array of technological tools available - to connect and collaborate with, to delight, and to teach the current generation of students - virtual worlds offer great promise. To this end, we created the Ed Media Center in Second Life. From 2010 - 2014 it hosted art shows, educational seminars, philosophical discussions, and beach parties.

We had a great time with this project, and look forward to collaborating on many more!
