Hana Williams "Tribes"

"Do we avoid doing the things we know we need to work on because we have a fear of succeeding? I have been thinking about the idea of fearing success for a couple of days. Is it really that hard to draw a pair of hands, or to realize a background into a scene? What is really holding us back?"

Hana Williams is a young artist, a student at the Laguna College of Art in California, and a Philadelphia native. Her work, already exhibiting a strong individual style, combines elements of realism with a flat decorative embellishment to produce portraits that are both iconic and personal.
